
Countrywide Financial is setting aside billions of dollars to help struggling homeowners nationwide.
Nevada is getting $219 million as part of the agreement.
That means many Nevadans with Countrywide mortgages will see their interest rates cut and maybe even their principal reduced.
Countrywide does not have to admit to predatory lending practices or any wrong-doing as part of the deal.
