Route Changes due to Rock 'N' Roll Marathon Sunday

LAS VEGAS, NV - Transit Detours Scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 6 due to Rock ‘n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon

 Several Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada (RTC) transit routes will be
detoured on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 due to the Rock ‘n' Roll Las Vegas Marathon.

 The following routes will be impacted on Sunday between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
 Times are approximate and may be adjusted depending on the timing of the event. 
 

• Deuce on the Strip: Service will not operate between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.

• Route 101 (Rainbow): Service will not operate on Rainbow Boulevard between Russell
Road and Tropicana Avenue.

• Route 102 (Jones): Service will not operate south of Reno Avenue; there will be no access to
Hacienda Avenue.

• Route 103 (Decatur): Major detours are expected; no service will be available along Decatur
Boulevard between Spring Mountain Road and Russell Road.

• Route 104 (Valley View / Torrey Pines): Major detours are expected along this route.
Service will not operate between Spring Mountain Road and Flamingo Road; additionally,
service will not operate on Arville Street between Tropicana Avenue and Russell Road.
Service along Russell Road between Decatur Boulevard and Polaris Avenue will be provided
by Route 103. Passengers may choose to transfer to Route 201 at Tropicana Avenue and
Dean Martin Drive, or to Route 202 at Valley View Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.

• Route 108 (Paradise): Detours are expected on this route north of Sahara Avenue. Service
will not be provided to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets. Service will not be available along
Main Street and Paradise Road between Sahara Avenue and Charleston Boulevard. For
access to Main Street, take Route 116, which will serve nearby Commerce Street between
California Street and Wyoming Avenue.

• Route 116 (Koval / Industrial): Major impacts are expected on this route The nearest
access to Spring Mountain Road at Las Vegas Boulevard will be at Industrial Road and Desert
Inn Road, behind the Fashion Show Mall, or at Sands Avenue and Koval Lane. The closest
access to Las Vegas Boulevard between Tropicana Avenue and Mandalay Bay Road will be at
Tropicana Avenue and Koval Lane. See map for additional details.

• Route 119 (Simmons): Route will not be able to access Spring Mountain Road. The nearest
access to Spring Mountain Road at Las Vegas Boulevard will be at Industrial Road at Desert
Inn Road, behind the Fashion Show Mall.

• Route 201 (Tropicana): There will be major detours on this route. Service will be disrupted
between Jones Boulevard and Swenson Street (normal eastbound service will continue as far
as Edmond Street). The nearest access to Las Vegas Boulevard will be at Tropicana Avenue
and Dean Martin Drive. Service along Tropicana Avenue between Arville Street (Cameron
Street eastbound) and Dean Martin Drive will be provided by Routes 103 and 104. Service
will not be provided on other portions of Tropicana Avenue between Edmond Street and
Paradise Road.

• Route 202 (Flamingo): Major detours are expected on this route. Service will be disrupted
between Lindell Road and Koval Lane. The nearest access to Las Vegas Boulevard will be at
Flamingo Road and Koval Lane. Service along Flamingo Road between Arville Street and
Valley View Boulevard will be provided by Routes 103 and 104. There will be no service on
other portions of Flamingo between Lindell Road and Koval Lane.

• Route 203 (Spring Mountain / Twain): No service will be available along Spring Mountain
Road between Polaris Avenue and Paradise Road. Route will be detoured between Polaris
Avenue (Valley View Boulevard westbound) and Paradise Road. The nearest access to Las
Vegas Boulevard will be at Spring Mountain Road and Polaris Avenue or at Twain Avenue
and Paradise Road.

• Route 204 (Sahara): Eastbound route will be detoured between Rancho Drive and Paradise
Road. Westbound route will be detoured between Paradise Road and Teddy Drive. Service
will not be available between the Palace Station Hotel and Paradise Road.

• Route 206 (Charleston): No service will be available on Charleston Boulevard between
Main Street and Maryland Parkway.
