LAS VEGAS (AP) - Jammar Diggs hit two free throws with 12 seconds left Saturday to give Wofford an 84-83 victory over Seattle in the final round of the Las Vegas Invitational.
The Terriers (4-3) won despite the effort of Seattle junior Charles Garcia, who had a career-high 41 points, along with 10 rebounds. Garcia had a chance to win it, but missed wildly on a runner in the lane as time expired. Garcia was 16 of 24 from the field, but 8 of 18 from the free-throw line for the Redhawks (4-3).
Noah Dahlman led Wofford with 23 points and 10 rebounds. Junior Salters added 11 points and four assists.
Seattle trailed 60-44 with 14:23 left, but rallied to tie it at 81 with 1:21 left. After Dahlman hit 1 of 2 free throws for Wofford, Seattle took an 83-82 lead on a putback by Garcia with 54 seconds left. Diggs' free throws then clinched it for the Terriers.
