'Tis the season for shopping and spending, but, in these tough times, many consumers just aren't able to shell out the cash for a brand new car.
Despite a struggling car industry, the annual Motor Trend International Auto Show is back in Las Vegas.
A spokesperson says the attendance was already up from last year on day one.
It seems people were curious enough to come and take a look, even if it's out of their price range.
"I just got sold, but no cash. I spent it all day already," said Dolores Boggioni.
Boggioni's husband found himself glued to a limited-edition Camaro that was definitely out of reach this holiday season.
"I'm looking at my wife's expression right now. I think it's from a ten to a zero. Ten percent to zero percent of taking it home," said Stephen Boggioni.
There's no denying that auto sales have mellowed since the end of the Cash for Clunkers program.
Nissan and Chrysler are not partaking in this year's auto show due to budget concerns.
Many auto makers showcasing their vehicles are promoting more fuel-efficient cars to appeal to the modern-day consumer.
These four wheel deals aren't the most practical Christmas present. At the same time, those browsing the selection say at least you don't have to wait in line to take a look!
If you're interested in the attending the Motor Trend Auto Show, doors are open at the Las Vegas Convention Center until Sunday, November 29th. It's up and running for the public daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Admission is $8. For discount coupons you can head to the auto show's website www.autoshowlv.com
