Several apartments in Sunrise Manor were evacuated during a standoff near Nellis and Cheyenne. Police were called to the Heritage Estates on Nellis Oasis Lane after a man was bothering some kids around 8pm.
Police told the suspect to go inside his apartment. Officers were then called back out to that same apartment and on that second call, the man pointed a gun at police then went inside his apartment.
He was barricaded inside that apartment for several hours. Police say the older man was drinking and was the only one in the apartment. People were let back into their apartments around midnight.
