Investigators now say two cats that were found mutilated in the Mountain's Edge community weren't mutilated by a human. They say a bobcat is to blame for the incident. Animal control revealed the findings at the County Commission meeting Tuesday.

Cheri Berard's cat was found mutilated in her front yard earlier this month. Berard even handed out fliers to her neighbors to tell them about the animal cruelty.

The neighborhood is very close to the mountains. Homeowners who live in the community are urged to keep their animals inside at night. Officials say they will continue to push for tougher punishments in animal cruelty cases.
