$10,000 up for grabs to anyone who proves marijuana is more dangerous than alcohol

A debate that's raged on for years is back on the front burner again tonight in Las Vegas.  This time, there's some big money on the line.

The group Marijuana Policy Project of Nevada says alcohol is more dangerous than marijuana.

They have three facts they say prove it: its more likely to overdose on alcohol, long-term alcohol consumption is much worse on your health, and alcohol causes more violent crimes.

If you can disprove those facts, they'll hand you $10,000.

We asked some people what they thought about the contest and got mixed reviews.

"You're cool, you're going to work, you're taking care of your family, next thing you know due to alcoholism you lose all that.  And marijuana, I've never seen anybody have that kind of problem with it," Duane says.

"Neither one is going to be good for you, there's no pluses in the deal, they're both minuses," Doug Bravo says.

In order to get the money you have to disprove all three statements and it has to be done with either governmental statistics or peer reviewed studies.
