Metro planning seminar for residents living near foreclosed homes

Metro police are planning a resource seminar for residents of local neighborhoods facing vacant homes, economic challenges and rising crime due to foreclosures.

Police crime prevention officers, representatives from Old Republic Title Co., and real estate attorneys, loan modification experts and mortgage lenders are due to take part.

The 6:45 p.m. Tuesday seminar is free. But seating is limited to the first 60 people.

It will be held at the Las Vegas police South Central Area Command on Las Vegas Boulevard south of Russell Road.
