Longtime Clark County Clerk Shirley Parraguirre has passed away.
She died Sunday after a long battle with leukemia.
During her 11 years in the clerk's office, Parraguirre led an expansion of services to Laughlin, Mesquite and Henderson, and implemented electronic filing of court documents.
She also devoted a lot of her time toward fundraising for the Southern Nevada Children's home.
Parraguirre was 69 years old.
