The Miracle League of Las Vegas is a non-profit organization that gives children with special needs a chance to compete with friends and be set free to be kids.
"It gives the kids that have limited access to sports limited access to socializing with other kids an opportunity to feel apart of something," explained parent Sal Cordaro.
The Miracle League will be at the site near Rancho and the 95 where a grown over, barren old baseball field will soon turn into a field of dreams.
For Miracle League President Tim McGerry the pay off is immeasurable.
"This will be a place of community where families, kids who don't have accessibility to this type of product, this type of field with a flat surface, with the painted diamond, recycled rubber and lights. We'll be able to play night games, a scoreboard, the kids have the opportunity to play real baseball on a real field," said Tim McGerry.
For parents it's a chance to watch their children enjoy the true American past time.
For Sal Cordaro, it's father son time only baseball can provide.
