NBA Betting Ban Lifted at Palms Sports Book

A big step for the Palms, but perhaps a leap for the city of Las Vegas. On Thursday, the NBA Board of Governors lifted the betting ban on the Palms Sports Book.

Previously, the book could not carry any NBA odds because of a potential conflict of interest. The Maloof brothers own the Palms and the Sacramento Kings. But the hotel can now post NBA lines, just not on games involving the Kings.

George Maloof, Palms Casino Operator, cautions Las Vegans not to assume an NBA team is headed here. While the league has softened its harsh stance about gambling, he says that the city should just take that at face value.
