Improve Children’s Dental Health by Participating in a Dental Hygiene Drive, Sept. 22 - 30
United Way of Southern Nevada is helping local children and families with their dental health by holding a Dental Hygiene Drive. Quality dental care is essential to insure a child’s overall well-being. Tooth decay remains the single most common chronic disease among children. Dental disease can impact all aspects of children’s lives, from their nutrition and sleep habits to their educational performance and self-esteem. With 36 percent of children living with untreated tooth decay, nine percent in dental pain and 65 percent of children uninsured and without health care resources, the dental hygiene drive will help to provide critical dental hygiene items to local children and families. Please donate your new, packaged child and adult toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss and toothbrush covers.
