Safety Fair to Focus on Drowning Prevention

Clark County to Host Super Summer Safety Fair at Two Facilities

Clark County Parks and Recreation will host the Super Summer Safety Fair from 5-6PM. Friday, May 30th at two locations - Desert Breeze Aquatics Facility, 8275 W. Spring Mountain Road, near Durango Drive, and Hollywood Aquatics Center, 1550 S Hollywood Blvd. near Sahara Avenue.

The event is being held simultaneously at Southern Nevada Child Drowning Prevention Coalition partner pools across the Las Vegas Valley to educate parents, guardian and day care providers about infant and child safety in, on and around the water.

Fair attendees also will receive free admission to open swim from 6-8PM. Those not attending the fair will be charged normal admission fees $2 for ages 3-17, $3 for ages 18-54 and $1 for ages 55 and older.

Participants in the fair will receive information about safeguarding their homes, preventing accidents and how to respond if an emergency should occur. Information about sun safety will be provided.
