Las Vegas Jazz Society
The Las Vegas Jazz Society proudly presents the second of our concerts at the Bootlegger Bistro in a setting reminiscent of the charm of Old Las Vegas. The Groove Brother are an ensemble of local veteran jazz musicians, consisting of Neil Maxa (trombone), Garrett Hypes (bari sax), Chris Gordan (bass), Santo Savino (drums), and our Lady Adelaide Robbins (piano). Originally the group was formed in 2001 for a summer concert engagement at the Clark County Government Center. That concert was one of the most successful for the venue at the time. The Original group featured a 'three horn' sound with sax great Joe Romano. After Joe's passing, the group decided that his unique saxophone sound was irreplaceable and decided to use just two horns. Their 'Groovin' sound and style will have your feet stomping and toe tapping.
