Six No Uptown A Dramatic Comedy
Annie Lee's art work takes center stage
'Six No Uptown' a dramatic comedy directed by Adlaidie 'L.A.' Walker, is a play infused with an old school-new school music vibe, inspired by the original work of famed Chicago artist Annie Lee
Friday nights are Bid Whist nights as Mary's and when she and her friends get together there is no telling what will happen! With Evelyn, her alcoholic man-eating best friend; Robert Earl, the 'Back In the Day King' who longs for the good old days; Ebony, her cousin who is trying to stay in the closet; RJ and Katrina, a feuding married couple who would just as soon kill each other as kiss each other during a game; Calvin, a woman zing mailman that spends most of this time either running to the bathroom or running from Evelyn; and Mary a widow desperate for affection and deluding herself every step of the way, it can't help but be an uproarious good time when these cast of characters get together for a game.
Join them all as everything seemes to come to a head, while poor Robert Earl just wants to "Finish a damn game!", in this side spitting dramatic comedy 'Six No Uptown'.
