Nathan Adelson Hospice Presents 10th Annual Multicultural Luncheon & Expo
Nathan Adelson Hospice, the trusted partner in hospice care for 35 years, announced today it will be hosting its 10th Annual Multicultural Luncheon & Expo on March 5, 2014. The theme for the luncheon, which will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Tuscany Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, will be: “Elevating and Celebrating The Conversation.” The keynote speaker will be Brian Murphy, M.D., who will address the importance of having these conversations and ways to initiate these discussions with your family and friends. Health care providers will learn some tips when dealing with patients who are seriously ill and their families. In addition to providing significant information encompassing end-of-life care, Nathan Adelson Hospice is holding its Multicultural Awards Program at the event, in which honorees each year are recognized for their efforts in promoting and educating the community about end-of-life care. The Diversity in Action Award will be given this year to Palm Mortuary, Cemeteries and Crematories, a business that has contributed to or enhanced the community by actively and positively embracing, celebrating, and promoting diversity in end-of-life care. Carole Fisher, president and chief executive officer of Nathan Adelson Hospice, said the Multicultural Luncheon & Expo each year consistently relays important information and tools for industry professionals and the community in regards to healthcare trends and end-of-life care. Tickets will be $65 per person or $500 for a table of 10. For tickets to the luncheon or more information, call Stephanie Forbes at Nathan Adelson Hospice at 702-938-3910 or visit www.nah.org.
