Red Tails (film screening)
Red Tails (PG-13, 125 minutes) will be shown on Sunday, February 16, 2014, 2 p.m. - 5 p.m., at the West Las Vegas Library, 951 W. Lake Mead Blvd. A crew of African American pilots in Archibald the Tuskegee training program, having Toliver faced segregation while kept mostly on the ground during World War II, are called into duty under the guidance of Col. A.J. Bullard. This screening of Red Tails is part of the Blacks in Hollywood and Film Screenings Series. Distinguished military personnel will moderate this screening and featured panelists include Colonel (Ret.) Richard Bynum “Dick” Toliver and Nate Bynum. A book sales and signing will follow the program, introducing an exclusive preview of Colonel (Ret.) Richard Toliver’s book, An Uncaged Eagle, an inspirational memoir of victory over adversity on the path to true freedom. Join us as we educate and enlighten attendees about African Americans as professional artists in film and other arts fields, past and present.
