Do you want to be a lifeguard but don't have the certification? Well, the City of Las Vegas is offereing a chance to earn that certification.  The Lifeguard Training Course will be held from January through May at the Municipal Pool (431 E. Bonanza Road) or at the Pavilion Center Pool (101 S. Pavilion Center Drive).  If you cannot make it to either course, don't fret, it will be offered again at the Baker Pool, June through August.  Participants must be 15 years or older and must pass the prerequisites at the first class.  The course is about 25.5 hours and you must attend all sessions to receive your certification. You will need a pocket mask along with a lifeguarding manual prior to the first class. (You can purchase or print the manual at www.shopstaywell.com or www.redcrossstore.com). Employment opportunities will be offered to qualified graduates upon completion!
