Free Introduction to Youth Rugby Clinic
Have you ever wanted to get your child active in a sport but are maybe fearful of the unknown? Things like: What Sport? What Age? What are the Risks? Is it worth it or will my child even like it? These are some of the questions that may cross your mind when trying to decide what sport, if any at all, you should get your child active into. Fortunately a local non-profit may have the answer for those and many other questions you may have. This Saturday, January 12th, from 9am to 12:30pm at Charlie Frias Park the LVSportz Foundation is pleased to bring to our community a FREE Introduction to Youth Rugby Clinic that is being put on in conjunction with the Las Vegas Rugby Academy, The Las Vegas Blackjacks & the Jump for Joy Foundation. In this unique clinic children ages 6 and up will learn about the game of Rugby, from the history of the game to the basic fundamentals of the game, from current and former Rugby players in a safe and fun environment. Participants will learn a variant of rugby called Rugby Touch (No Contact). Participants and their parents (yes, we said the parents) will also learn the benefits of youth sports, the importance of proper youth sports development & positive sports participation, sports safety awareness and more. As an added bonus, participants will get a chance to watch a Real Rugby game directly after the clinic as the Las Vegas Blackjacks Men's Rugby Team takes on the Los Angeles Rugby Club at 1:00pm. Parents interested in having their child participate in the clinic can go the LVSportz Foundation website at http://lvsportz.com and click on flyer in the right column. Registration is Free but space is limited.
