Southern Nevada Immunization and Health Coalition & Partners are hosting their seasonal no-cost flu shot clinics now through December 8th in the Las Vegas Valley and rural areas including Logandale and Searchlight.

The CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices recommends that everyone 6 months and older should receive the flu vaccine each year. It's especially important for those listed below because they are at high risk for serious flu-related complications, or because they live with and/or care for people who have a greater risk for flu-related complications:

-Pregnant women
-Children older than 6 months and younger thaan 5
-People 50 years of age and older
-People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions
-Health care workers
-Caregivers of children younger than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be   vaccinated)

The clinics will provide flu shots on a first come, first served basis. Children older than 6 months, adolescents and adults are eligible for the inoculations.
