Summerlin to Host Art Festival
Valley residents are invited to attend the 18th Summerlin Art Festival, one of Las Vegas’ largest and most colorful outdoor art events. More than 100 artists and craftsman from throughout the southwestern United States will display their works. Collections include paintings, glasswork, pottery, jewelry, metal works, sculpture, mixed media and more. The event also features colorful chalk art masterpieces created using the park sidewalks as a canvas. Featured chalk artist, Donovan Fitzgerald, owner of Fitzgerald Artworks, will create a classical reproduction throughout the event. In addition, dozens of local aspiring artists will produce chalk art pieces as part of the traditional chalk art competition. Non-competing artists are welcome to add their creation to the sidewalk for a nominal fee of $5, which includes sidewalk space, a knee pad and chalk. Summerlin Art Festival also features a full entertainment line-up including live music, dance performances, food art demonstrations, children’s activities and more. A wide variety of food and beverage will be available for purchase. For more information, visit www.summerlinartfestival.com. Summerlin Centre Community Park 1800 South Town Center Drive (between W.
