NV Energy Hosts Senior Energy Assistance Expo

  • Print

The NV Energy Senior Energy Assistance Expo provides a one-stop-shop for seniors to access resources and information on financial stability on August 11th at Cashman Center. Seniors may receive energy assistance though Project REACH (if they are 62 years of age and older), make payment arrangements and receive help through a variety of social service programs. NV Energy funds Project REACH, an energy assistance program that is administrated by the United Way of Southern Nevada. Customers MUST bring a valid Nevada drivers license or state ID, past due NV Energy bill and proof of income. Anyone who has received energy assistance in the previous 12 months is not eligible to receive assistance but can take advantage of other resources offered at the event. Nonprofit, government agency and other utility representatives will be available to provide energy assistance, discuss weatherization options, provide energy education, conservation and rebate information as well as social services such as food bank, housing, medical and rental assistance. For full details on the event and qualifications and required documentation for assistance, please visit NV Energy’s Senior Energy Assistance Expo website at
