Vegas PBS will host its third annual 5K Run & 1 Mile Walk to benefit Keeping Kids Fit, an educational outreach program targeting childhood obesity. The event will kick-off at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Vegas PBS building, 3050 E. Flamingo Road. Sesame Street star and children’s favorite Walkaround ElmoTM from Sesame Street TM will be on hand at the event, as well as a high energy DJ spinning Top 40 favorites, informational booths, healthy refreshments, and awards and prizes for the family-friendly crowd. Registration fees are $25 per person until Sept. 28, and $35 from Sept. 29 through Oct. 4. Race day and packet pick-up day admission fees will be $40.
