Selected CSN Horticulture Courses Now Offered in Spanish
The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) now offers introductory horticulture courses in Spanish. Plant science and horticulture fundamentals are prerequisites needed when acquiring a certificate of achievement, or associate of science or associate of applied science degrees from the ornamental horticulture program. A feature of the Henderson campus, the horticulture program boasts 10 acres of experimental gardens and four greenhouses covering almost 10,000 square feet. The program prepares students to breed, grow, and utilize plant varieties for commercial and aesthetic purposes. Students gain instruction in plant sciences, environmental design and artistic aspects of horticultural product usage, and the management of horticultural operations.
