Join us at the Fourth Annual Volunteers in Medicine Ball, Saturday, October 6, 2012 at the Venetian | Palazzo. The evening will honor three shining stars who work tirelessly to make a positive impact on health care in our community.
Aurora Wong ~ Community Service Honoree: Mrs. Wong is an attorney by trade and leads the charge of the HepBFree community outreach program providing screenings, vaccinations and treatment to Asian Pacific Islanders who are at highest risk for the disease.
Mary Adler ~ Volunteerism Honoree: Mrs. Adler has been with Volunteers in Medicine of Southern Nevada as a volunteer since the very beginning. She has dedicated countless hours acting as unit secretary for our clinic, processing numerous patient assistance applications on behalf of our patients, and all-round hero to the success of VMSN!
Dr. Jerry Cade ~ Lifetime Achievement in Medicine: Dr. Cade is an Immunologist, currently serving as the Director of Viral Treatment Specialty Service at UMC. He is also co-founder and co-director of the Nevada AIDS Research and Education Society, and the Nevada Access to Research and Education Society. For over two decades, he’s been active in the Las Vegas community providing for the needs of those affected with HIV/Aids.
