Public Meeting about Downtown Henderson Economic, Redevelopment Issues

Representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Bay Area Economics (BAE) are hosting a public information session about economic and fiscal health issues and tools and the City of Henderson’s Redevelopment Agency’s efforts to revitalize almost 509 acres of the eastern part of Henderson, encompassing the downtown area of Water Street District. The meeting will be 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 11 at the Henderson Convention Center, 200 Water Street. For information, call the Henderson Redevelopment Agency at 702-267-1515. The program is funded through a grant awarded to the Henderson Redevelopment Agency through the EPA’s Building Blocks for Sustainable Communities program. The federal program helps interested communities adopt sustainable planning methods to safeguard the environment and spur economic development while also improving the public health. BAE is an award-winning urban economics and public-benefit real estate development company.
