May 10, 2012 Las Vegas, NV— The Southern Nevada Office of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is hosting its Annual Man & Woman of the Year grand finale on Friday, May 18, 2012 at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas. This unique fundraising competition challenges men and women in Southern Nevada to raise the most money without knowing how much their competitors have raised until the grand finale. With men versus men and women versus women, each dollar donated counts as one vote for the title of Man or Woman of the Year. Funds raised during the ten-week competition by Man & Woman of the Year participants help provide financial assistance for patients, free educational materials, patient and family support groups, and a peer-to-peer counseling program in southern Nevada, southern Utah and Arizona. Last year’s winners, Las Vegas residents Tibi Ellis and Kevin Hayes, raised more than $20,000 each.
