Exploring the Pueblo worldview with visual metaphors.  This presentation explores the visual depictions of traditional ecological knowledge about water resources in the ancient Southwest and Mesoamerica.  Evidence seen in painted pottery, rock art, and mural paintings in the Puebloan Southwest and Mesoamerica reveals ancient, indigenous metaphors for dynamic connections among ground water, surface water, clouds, rain, and snow.
