There may be some changes at the top for Barnes & Noble.
The bookstore's chairman announced he wants to buy the company's stores.
Barnes & Noble reported a weak Christmas season. Sales at retail stores were down 11 percent from the year before.
The potential sale would leave the Nook business as a separate company.
