Food recalls reach a high
Food recalls hit a two-year high in the fourth quarter of 2012.
According to Stericycle Expert Recall, a firm that tracks product recalls in the U.S., there was an average rate of about six food recalls documented every day. That affects more than 18 million products.
Of those recalls, 94 percent fell within the category of having serious health consequences or death.
