United Airlines fined
United has been fined for violating tarmac delay rules. The Airline has been fined $130,000.
The violation happened last May. United is accused of not informing passengers at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport that they had an opportunity to leave the plane as it sat at the gate with the door open.
The U.S. Department of Transportation says if passengers on a delayed flight have the opportunity to leave the aircraft, the carrier must inform them 30 minutes after the scheduled departure time.
