Consumer confidence down
Consumer confidence has taken a major hit in January. Experts blame it on the public's shock over a decrease in their paychecks.
And the number of consumers uneasy about the economy appears to be growing. In fact, the confidence level is lower than it was a year ago.
The Consumer Confidence Index fell to 58.6 in January, down from 66.7 in December.
