Southwest boarding changes
Do you want to be the first to board on a Southwest Airlines flight? Now you can pay $40 to do just that.
Southwest Airlines will let you pay to be part of their first boarding group. Right now, passengers can board first when they buy a special business class ticket or join a loyalty program.
Under the new program, passengers will be able to pay at the gate starting 45 minutes before a flight leaves.
This is just one way airlines are trying to boost revenue while facing higher fuel prices and other costs.
