Online services in-flight
More airlines could soon be offering web service in the air.
As we all know, there's currently a ban on the use of cellphones and other devices aboard airplanes. That's because there's a fear that radio signals could interfere with sensitive navigation operations.
So as of right now, in-flight internet services are limited to only a few airlines, and not available on all planes.
But the Federal Communications Commission has now established new rules to help speed up the process.
The FCC says it expects the changes will allow airlines to be approved for in-flight broadband services in half the time.
