T-Mobile making some changes
T-Mobile is finally getting the iPhone. And the carrier is making a move that's shaking up the smartphone market.
T-Mobile says it will stop subsidizing phones it sells to customers. Companies traditionally lower the cost of a phone, by building part of the cost into a customer's monthly fee.
But now, T-Mobile customers will be able to pay full price for the phone or do an installment plan. T-Mobile claims the move will make its monthly plans cost less, even for customers who finance the phone.
