Protect yourself when shopping
The Federal Trade Commission is reminding you to protect yourself when shopping this holiday season.
The FTC says, be stingy when it comes to sharing your personal information.
Don't give out your credit card or other financial info for a chance at a free gift. Many times your information will end up on a list that could lead you to getting unwanted calls or mailers.
And if you use mobile apps to shop for deals, be aware of how the apps are paid for what information they may gather and who gets that info.
