Wire scam warning
Many of the stories we bring you for Contact 13 involve watching out for requests to wire money.
The Better Business Bureau says nationwide, consumers reported losing more than 1.5 billion dollars to scams artists last year.
To help stop this problem, the BBB has partnered with Western Union to create the BBB Scam Stopper.
The new website hopes to educate consumers on the common scams used to get your money. It also has information on what to do if you think you're being scammed.
