Victims of robocall scam refunded
Refunds are being mailed out to victims of a robocall scam.
The Federal Trade Commission says consumers nationwide were allegedly defrauded by a telemarketer who pitched a worthless credit card rate reduction program.
The telemarketer was allegedly taking an up-front fee for the program. The FTC is mailing out more than 4,000 checks ranging between $30 and $1,300 based on how much money victims lost in the scam.
Anyone with questions about these refund checks should call (866) 224-5404.
