LG and Kenmore dryer recall
LG Electronics and Sears are recalling about 21,000 LG and Kenmore Elite gas dryers.
The gas valve in the recalled dryers can fail to shut off properly, continuing to heat up after the drying cycle is complete. The problem poses the risk of a fire.
LG and Sears have received more than 140 consumer complaints about the issue, including some cases that involved burnt or scorched clothing.
LG Electronics is recalling several models: DLG0452W, DLG1320W and DLG2051W. Kenmore Elite is recalling several models as well: 796.90512900, 796.90518900, 796.91022900, 796.91028900, 796.91029900, 796.92192900, 796.92198900, 796.92199900.
