Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- Dental work can be expensive, so it's important you're happy with the work. But one valley man says after shelling out some big bucks, he couldn't schedule his next appointment.

"My teeth start slipping out and that's so embarrassing, you know," says Beuford Green.

This senior citizen says he was just looking to fix his smile but his recent experience at a local dentist office was anything but a happy one.

"I'm very disgusted and disappointed," says Beuford.

It was back in May when he made his first visit. A receipt shows he paid nearly $1,700 for work on his dentures. X-rays were taken and Beuford says the dentist was very helpful in the beginning.

"They took the impression and I thought I was on my way to getting it done," says Beuford.

But he says just before his third visit, the office canceled his appointment. Another visit was scheduled but the office canceled on him two more times. Beuford says he tried calling the office repeatedly but all he could get was an answering service.

"I was really really upset because I couldn't figure out why they kept canceling," says Beuford.

That's when he says he decided to reach out to Contact 13's Call for Action volunteers and Beuford says he couldn't believe the results. Contact 13 got in touch with the dentist's corporate office and within an hour Beuford got a call about a refund.

"When I called Contact 13, she was able to get the ball rolling and got my money back," says Beuford.

So here's the Contact 13 bottom line. Make sure you know the details of any major procedure and understand any possible delays or complications.
