Consumer Financial Protection Bureau report
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is calling its first six months a success. The agency has released its Semi-Annual Report covering the first half of 2012.
Between July 21 of last year and June 30, 2012, consumers submitted approximately 55,300 complaints about credit cards, mortgages, and other financial products and services.
The bureau works to resolve consumer disputes with lenders and investigates when a business is suspected of not complying with federal laws.
