Social Security services online
A lot of people are going online to check out their social security statements.
The new online service was launched back on May 1. It provides estimates for retirement, disability and survivors benefits.
It also provides workers as young as 18 a way to determine whether their earnings are accurately posted to their Social Security records. The Social Security Administration says that in less than two months, one million people have gone online and created an account to view their statement.
