Banks responding to consumer complaints
Consumers are filing complaints against their banks. But are the banks listening?
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has released details about the more than 40,000 fee-related complaints U.S. consumers filed against banks last year.
According to MSNBC.com, of the 10 banks with the most complaints, GE Capital topped the list as the most responsive. 85 percent of GE Capital customers received some sort of relief or resolution after filing a complaint.
J.P. Morgan Chase wasn't too far behind, offering 83 percent of its customers some relief. More than 70 percent of Capital One and Bank of America customers received a resolution. US Bank was at the bottom of the list, offering only 40 percent of its customers some relief.
