Kim joined the Action News team as an assignment editor in October 2012. She is responsible for tracking down breaking news by listening to police scanners and taking calls from our viewers with news tips.

Before coming to KTNV, Kim was an intern on CNN's National Desk where she brought in stories from local stations for CNN and HLN's national coverage. She also worked with over 900 affiliates in getting video and story information.

Kim graduated from Bemidji State University, a small college in northern Minnesota, in August 2012 with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications and an emphasis in Creative and Professional Writing.
While in college, Kim became the Editor-in-Chief of BSU's news magazine, The Northern Student, and oversaw its transition of a weekly newspaper to a monthly magazine due to budget cuts. She also worked with the student radio and television stations. Kim also played on BSU's softball team. Needless to say, she kept busy.
When Kim is not tracking down breaking news, she loves to be outside. She enjoys hiking, softball, rollerblading, and snowboarding.
Kim has wanted to be in the news since she was in elementary school and is excited to get her career started in Las Vegas as an essential part of the Action News team.
