Joyce Lupiani joined Action News in 2011 as a writer/web producer and was promoted to Interactive Web Editor in 2013. Previous to joining TV land, Joyce worked for the Portland Press Herald in Maine as a staff writer for almost three years and at the Las Vegas Review-Journal for almost 16 years in various positions including content producer for lasvegas.com and lvrj.com and breaking news editor.
Joyce is a news junkie and loves Las Vegas. She considers herself very knowledgeable about the city, the people in it and how it works. She also enjoys the many diverse entertainment options in the Las Vegas valley from art and food festivals to Cirque du Soleil shows and concerts on the Las Vegas Strip.
Joyce is also a big fan of downtown Las Vegas and spends much of her free time there checking out the new restaurants and clubs and photographing graffiti and murals in the Las Vegas 18b Art District. She also has a fondness for Golden Gate's famous shrimp cocktail and Mermaid Casino's cheap hot dogs.
Quite often, you'll see some of Joyce's Las Vegas photos on KTNV.com in slideshows or with related articles.
Joyce is originally from Tennessee but much prefers the hot, dry weather of Las Vegas to the hot, sticky weather of Tennessee. She attended school at Memphis State University, Rochester Institute of Technology and College of Southern Nevada.
