Megan Telles joined the Action News Team in August 2012 as Social Media Producer. After a few months of filling in on Good Morning Las Vegas and making live appearances on The Morning Blend, Megan moved up the ranks. In August 2013, she was promoted to Reporter for the all-new hour-long 3:00 p.m. newscast. You can find her every weekday on Action News Live @ 3. Megan reports on local/national news and trending stories, inviting the audience to join the conversation via Facebook and Twitter throughout the show.

When not reporting the news, Megan is busy producing a daily, social media strategy to cultivate a powerful online presence for Channel 13. Since moving to Las Vegas, Megan has become an advocate of the growing Downtown Las Vegas expansion project. As a result, she's dedicated to highlighting Southern Nevada's culture, arts and community in her weekly '13 Things To Do This Weekend' segment.

Before landing in Las Vegas, Megan covered and produced stories for MTVu, and The San Diego Union-Tribune. She reported from City Hall during the 2011 Occupy Los Angeles movement and accounted the autopsy results of late music legend, Michael Jackson.
Megan is a Southern California native from Rancho Cucamonga. She's a third-generation Mexican-American and active in the Latino community. Megan is the daughter of an Army Veteran and was raised around the world as a U.S. “Army Brat.”  Growing up in a military household became a way of life for Megan.  Spontaneity, manners and a militant work ethic shaped her core values at an early age.
Megan graduated from USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism (Fight On!). She was a three-time KABC-TV intern in Los Angeles and spent a semester at the KCBS/KCAL duopoly in Studio City, CA.  Megan worked closely with KABC's entertainment guru, George Pennacchio covering season 10 of Dancing With The Stars and the 82nd Oscars.  After graduating, Megan was the Executive Assistant to long-time LA news anchor, Laura Diaz.  While Diaz taught Megan the ethics of Journalism, Megan propelled Diaz into the world of social media, introducing her to Facebook, Twitter and  all things digital.
When not telling a story, glued to the web or indulging at a new Las Vegas restaurant,  Megan is surrounded by her tight-knit family and fluffy Yorkie, Coco.
