Thanks to a $10,000 grant from Lowes, a group called Rebuilding Together helped remodel a home near Desert Inn and Maryland Parkway.
Volunteers say it is all about paying it forward for a woman in desperate need of a helping hand.
"The homeowner had some unfortunate circumstances happen to her about three or four years back. As you can tell, there is a major project that is going to take several months so there is a lot of nice people getting together," said Jeff Sanchez.
The work is being done free of charge.
