That engine was then shut down and the flight landed safely at McCarran International around 3:30pm.

The FAA says 118 people were on board.

According to the FAA, the plane took off from McCarran at 3:09pm local time and was headed to Islip, New York.

The flight was turned around when the incident was discovered.
