Obama Supporters Appeal To Latino and Asian-American Voters

Updated:

Two days before the election, Barack Obama supporters in the Valley are trying to keep the energy high and stay as visible as possible.

Sunday, a group of volunteers appealed to Asian-American and Latino voters by going on the road.

With a caravan of decorated cars, Obama supporters criss-crossed the valley in a last-minute push to get out the vote.

About 40 cars covered with Obama signs drove through predominantly Hispanic and Asian-American neighborhoods, trying to show solidarity among supporters in various ethnic groups.

The event was organized by Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders for change.

They also brought in volunteers from California, Washington state and Virginia to help.

After the caravan, 35 teams of volunteers canvassed neighborhoods, trying to get supporters to the polls on Tuesday.
