The hearing for embattled Judge Elizabeth Halverson came to a halt Friday.
The disciplinary hearing for the Clark County judge was stopped because of a medical scare.
The hearing was adjourned just after 1pm Friday after Judge Halverson suffered a hypoglycemic episode and it was determined it would be in everyone's best interest to continue the hearing.
Day five of Judge Elizabeth Halverson's hearing was cut short.
In the middle of testimony Friday morning, the 50 - year - old judge, who suffers from diabetes, claimed her sugar level was dropping off.
The Judicial Disciplinary Commission conducting the hearing called for an early lunch to allow her time to recover.
After the break, her attorney and the prosecutor agreed she did not look well enough to continue.
Judge Elizabeth Halverson faces 14 counts of judicial misconduct, including creating a hostile work environment and falling asleep during trials.
Her Judicial Discipline Commission hearing began Monday.
Thursday, the former employee testified Halverson did use foul language, and it did create a hostile work environment for employees.
The defense says the former employee only filed charges after Halverson realized she had been fixing tickets and getting people out of jury duty.
Judge Halverson has been suspended, with pay, since July 2007.
Her term expires in January 2009, and she is running for reelection in the upcoming primary on August 12th.
The hearing will resume Thursday afternoon, the same day Halverson is scheduled to be in federal court to talk about a possible injunction against any action taken by the Disciplinary Commission.
